About This Course
To enhance skills and knowledge of the participant in operating the STF/ IETS and handling the WTP sludge in accordance with the act and regulations.
Learning Objectives
- Understand basic concept of scheduled waste management and its classification
- Understand the legal requirements in Environmental Act 1974 & Industrial Effluent Regulations 2009 and Scheduled Waste Regulations 2005
- Understand the legal requirement in the operation of the sludge treatment/disposal plant and how to operate the plant according to the DOE's
- Regulations & Technical Guidelines Know how to manage the waste sludge including special management
- Know how to do packaging, labelling and storage of scheduled waste according to the DOE Guidelines
- Know how to do inventory, monthly report, econsignment and delivery according to the DOE Regulations & procedures
Prerequisites
- Competent person in Scheduled Waste Management -CePSWAM Competent
- Person in Industrial Effluent Treatment System - CePIETSO Engineer
- Executive & Supervisor who monitors Sludge Treatment Facilities (STF)/Sludge Disposal Plant (SDP)
- Operator & Technician who operate Sludge Treatment Facilities (STF)/Sludge Disposal Plant (SDP)
- Any personnel who manage scheduled waste.
