Responsibilities
Fabricate jigs and fixtures, drilling templates, punching, and forming dies and gauges such as plugs, ring, snap and caliper gauges. Working as part of a project team to design, fabricate & troubleshoot jig & fixture, update work orders & update preventive maintenance to improve the total manufacturing process in terms of quality and efficiency.
- Design, fabricate & assemble jig & fixture for production use.
- Determine the right machining processes for the right drawings received.
- Fabricate test adaptor and test fixture.
- Work with engineers, production personnel and others to resolve jig & fixture design & fabrication or assembly related problems.
- Support new project by design and fabrication of tools & fixtures.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers as required for the related job functions.

- Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
- Maintain preventive maintenance procedures.
- Selection of materials and finishing for the machining work.
Requirements
- Preferred Diploma/Certificate with minimum 2 years of experience.
- Able to apply a comprehensive machining knowledge and be skilled in using a variety of tool room practices and techniques.
- Must be skilled in planning and laying out drawings, sketches, or other work specifications.
- Must ust have knowledge of standard cutting tools such as drills, reamers, taps, different kinds of milling cutters, form tools, and various carbide tools.
- Must be familiar with hardening and annealing processes and their effect on the machinability of metals, and the dimensional allowances necessary to accommodate these processes.
- Must have knowledge of the construction of standard types of jigs and fixtures and their uses in the machine shop.
- Experience in CNC machining and designing automated equipment will be an added advantage.
