Responsibilities
- Responsible for embedded hardware design covering from components selection, schematics capturing, Layout, debugging and testing.
- Define PCB design rules according to the embedded design requirement
- Follow the design rule as stated in the design development procedure to ensure the hardware/ Layout block maintainability & reusability.
- Integrate new technologies into the circuit boards while maintaining DFC, DFM and OFT objectives
- Responsible for high speed and multi-Layer embedded PCB Layout according to the design rules, and meets the DFM and OFT requirement.
- Simulate electronic circuits and Layouts using signal integrity and power integrity tools.
- Perform high speed signal integrity verification and Power rail verification against detailed engineering specifications as well as internal and industry standards
- Create Logic circuits on programmable Logic devices (FPGA; CPLD) using high
- Level design Languages (Verilog, VHDL)
- Maintain, upgrade and customized design as requested.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Electronics design knowledge in power management, high-speed design, mix-signal design and embedded system design.
- Knowledge in defining high speed PCB, mixed-signal Layout design rules.
- Familiar with standards-based design such as PCie, SATA, USB will be an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience in motherboard design, ARM processor and embedded processor will be an added advantage.
- Experience in PCB layout design, signal integrity and EMC regulations will be an added advantage.
- Experience in creating Logic circuits on programmable logic devices will be an added advantage.
- Familiar with Mentor Dx Designer, Expedition PCB and Hyperlynx will be an advantage.
- Good troubleshooting techniques to researchtechnical issues and generate creative/innovative solutions with the ability to work independently. Positive attitude & good team player.
