Responsibilities

• Choosing and loading the correct cutting tools for the job.
• Cleaning and maintaining the machine.
• Training new staff on machine operation procedures.
• Adjusting and setting drills, mills, and lathes to ensure 100 percent accuracy.
• Using knowledge of safety standards to avoid workplace accidents.
• Makes calculations for programming including where materials should be cut.
• Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests.
• Determines sequence of operations in a program.
• Chooses cutting tools that will be needed.
• Analysis job order and performs necessary calculations.
• Makes improvements to set up times for a task and contouring of complex shapes.
• Simplifies tooling time for workers and increases productivity for the client.
• Complies with all safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare cutter master list and check cutter availability at tool room.
• Prepare cutting tools path with estimate cycle time.
• Recommend suitable clamping device for machining process.
• Monitor and trouble shoot 1st test cut program until complete part buy off.
• Monitor & record actual machining cycle time and compare CAM Simulation time.
• Continue improve CNC program quality and cycle time.
• Prepare process drawing.
• Register proven program in system and master list.
• Provide special/custom made cutter drawing to cutter maker.
• Perform and maintain 5s proper housekeeping at workplace and surrounding area.
• Maintain the cleanliness according to company 5S Policy.
• Adhere to all application Occupational Safety and Health laws and regulation as well as such standards, practices and procedures instituted by the Company.
• Any other responsibility which may be assigned from time to time by immediate superior/department head.
• Fabricate / produce the parts based on drawing and to confirm all dimensions on first piece before mass production.
• Inspection of parts to ensure conformance to specification / drawing.
• Filling up of production related records.
• Retrieve / create MasterCAM drawing and set MasterCAM program.
• To work closely with the production team to increase productivity and to save production cost.
• Rectify problem and reduce waste in production.
• Generate CNC Programme and put the programme to designated Machine
• Work according to production plan and maintain operation efficiency.
• Carry out in process measurements, maintain product quality.
• Monitor process/machines and troubleshoot/report any deviations to respective personnel.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions.
• To lead a team of machinist, operators & technician to achieve daily

Requirements

• Education: Candidate must possess at least Primary/Secondary School/SPM Level.
• Knowledge / Skill: Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools. 
  • Familiar with Fanuc Controller, Siemens Controller, Mitsubishi · Controller and Heidenhein Controller 
  • Familiar with MasterCAM 
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings. 
  • Adept with common inspection measuring equipment.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years working experience in related field are encouraged to apply. 
  • Able to interpret mechanical drawing. 
  • Candidates with hands on experience with CNC Machine Operations are preferred.
