Event Manager

Responsibilities

Planning & Coordination (EVENTS)

  • Propose menu as per budget given and per customer request.
  • Pre-setup for event flow and ensure buffet line and food arrangement is arranged.

Room Rental and Classroom Booking (EVENTS)

  • Prepare quotation and liaise with customer on the arrangement
  • Classroom booking for Diploma students, exam and others related with School of Engineering.

Front Desk (EVENTS)

  • Replace receptionist during her absence.
  • Responsible for front desk task including visits or meetings set up.
  • Prepare signages for every event in PSDC(Corridor, Lobby, Door, Tent Cards and Food Venue).
  • Assist with Promotion Booth Rentals.

Costing (F&B)

  • Prepare costing for every each menu. Daily and special event menu
  • Ensure prices are up to date.
  • Suggest new menu for variety and cost saving.
  • Search for new vendors or suppliers.

Operation (F&B)

  • Ensure all venue and equipment in good condition and sufficient.
  • Good communication and teamwork among staff.
  • Make sure customer satisfaction is priority.
  • Conduct meeting and weekly briefing before special event or when we have an issue.
  • Think creatively how to promote and enhance our services.

Documentation (F&B)

  • Ensure all documentation, passport, typhoid and food handling class in order and update.
  • Planning and yearly budget for F&B.
  • Inventory and purchase item for F&B.

Halal Application (F&B)

  • Ensure all documentation and halal certification from vendor is updated.
  • Application and renewal for every two years.
  • Handle and in charge for Halal Committee.
  • Responsible for Halal audit and spot check in Kitchen.
  • Ensure all chefs and F&B staff adhere to rules and ensure only halal product are used in our premises.

Cosmic Waves

  • Co-ordinate for weekend catering.
  • Handle Cafeteria Committee and inspection to ensure their food hygiene is followed and obtain customers' feedback.
  • Compile students' feedback and evaluation.
  • Monitor and oversee the operation. Conduct meeting with Caterer if needed.

Miscellaneous

  • Any other areas of coordination and assistance whether by own initiative or directive for the purpose of providing conducive training environment by improving the technology and information support capability of PSDC and meeting internal and external customer requirements.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities where and when deemed appropriate by Dept Head.
  • Take on any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • Degree in F&B/Culinary Management/Hospitality or Catering Manangement.
  • Experience in F&B, Food costing, purchasing of Materials & Products
  • Good Team Player
