Process Engineer (CNC Milling & Turning)

Responsibilities

  • To define, setup, document and maintain manufacturing processes.
  • To closely monitor process yields and product quality performance and take prompt action to contain and resolve problems that are affecting yields, manufacturing cost and product quality at earliest stage possible.
  • To apply various methodology including Statistical Process Control techniques to ensure that all processes are sufficiently monitored and in control.
  • To adopt systematic problem-solving method to analyses, identify, and resolve root cause of problem.
  • To take prompt action in response to process/quality problem detected by QA & customers which include providing temporary solution to contain the problem at earliest stage possible & permanent solution to minimize the risk to customers.
  • To train, develop & motivate subordinates to achieve high level of performance which include discipline, safety, house keeping, attendance, productivity, quality of work
  • To specify process control and new product, process & tooling qualification requirements with QA.
  • Responsible to manage productivity improvement activities on overall equipment efficiency.
  • To conduct and manage and supervise all PE's project and activities.
  • Lead to resolve any technical issues arise during mass production preparation stage.
  • Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows.
  • Prepare work instruction.
  • Utilize process simulation software to test and find the most appropriate production strategies. Prepare various analyses and recommendations on production capacity, efficiency, capital, and support supplier needs as well as other key mandatory support items such as material, headcount.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in precision machining /manufacturing Engineering or 3 years relevant experience.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen practice in manufacturing, project management.
  • Problem Solving activities, Design of Experimental (DOE) will be advantageous added.
