PROGRAM DETAILS

Training Structure

All applicants are required to adhere to the training structure set by the PSDC and Energy Commission (ST) below:

Program Duration
Program III
16-Week-Full-Time-Course (4 Months)

8 weeks - Training at Training Centre

4 weeks - Industrial Training

4 weeks - Training at Institution/Final Exam

Program IV
Part-Time Course (480 Hours)
480 Hours - Training at Training Centre

 

Mandatory Requirements
• Must be Malaysian citizen
• Must not be less than 20 years old on the date of the examination
• Completed secondary education (Form 5) in a government-aided school
• Able to write and speak in Bahasa Malaysia

AND

• Must have minimum three (3) years of work experience in handling/operating electrical equipment and controlling live equipment
• Possess a complete log book based on the 3-year work experience above, which has been validated by the employer and a competent person
• Possess Employees Provident Fund (EPF) or Social Security Organization (SOCSO) statements as evidence of the 3-year work experience above

OR

• Possess a Certificate of Competency:
i. Wireman PW1/PW2/P3/P4/P6 or
ii. Polytechnic Certificate in Electrical Engineering
• Must have a minimum of two (2) years of work experience in handling/operating electrical equipment and controlling live equipment
• Possess a complete log book based on the 2-year work experience above, which has been validated by the employer and a competent person
• Possess Employees Provident Fund (EPF) or Social Security Organization (SOCSO) statements as evidence of the 2-year work experience above
