Quality Management

This Breaking Boundaries module, will draw from the expertise and best practices of OSRAM Opto-Semiconductors to help participants better understand and effectively apply the principles of Quality Management at their workplace. The methodologies aim to assist organisations achieve operational improvement as a critical system to ensure product and service consistency, and high customer satisfaction.

ABOUT THE MODULE SPECIALIST – Mr Soong Loy Weng

Mr Soong Loy Weng (Roy) is the Senior Quality Manager of OSRAM Opto-Semiconductors and has more than 15 years of experience in Quality Assurance (QA). He was involved in the QA of Semiconductors - IC Assembly for 5 years before moving to OSRAM where he was responsible for the QA of Opto Semiconductors - LED Assembly as well as Opto Semiconductors - LED Wafer Fab in Penang and Regensburg, Germany. He then undertook a 3-year work stint in Quality Technical Service Support in San Jose, California before returning to Penang. Roy’s QA experience and job scope includes Customer Complaint Management, New Product Qualification, Reliability Monitoring, Incoming Quality Control, In-Process Quality Monitoring, Outgoing Quality Control, Failure Analysis and Quality System.
