INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY (IAT) LEVEL 2 PROGRAM (MC-091-2:2013)
The Industrial Automation Technology (IAT) Level 2 Program involves 3 major engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics. Through this program, students will learn to perform 2D and 3D Industrial Automation Engineering Sketching and prepare Industrial Automation Fabrication and Sub-Assembling requirements. They will also be exposed to the use of conventional machines such as lathe, drilling, and milling machines.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Design and develop automation systems by using Electronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Information, and Computer Technology.
• Acquire the JPK SKM Level 2 (MC-091-2:2013) Certificate

30% theory/classroom sessions and 70% extensive hands-on practical sessions

PREREQUISITES
• Must pass Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, Science, and English in SPM

FURTHER ADVANCEMENT
Graduates with JPK SKM Level 2 (MC-091-2:2013) qualification are eligible to further their studies in the Industrial Automation Technology (IAT) Level 3 Program. Graduates are also able to start their career as a Technician or Technical Assistant.

 

INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGY (IAT) LEVEL 3 PROGRAM (MC-091-3:2013)
The Industrial Automation Technology (IAT) Level 3 Program involves training in Robotics, Industrial Automation (PLC), Electrical Systems, Electronic Systems (Communications, Power, and Control), Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, and ICT facilities. It also provides workplace exposure and experience to students through On-Job-Training.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
• Apply knowledge and skills to identify requirements and specifications for mechatronic systems
• Acquire the JPK SKM Level 3 (MC-091-3:2013) Certificate

PREREQUISITES
• Must pass Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu, Science, and English in SPM
• Must have JPK SKM Level 2 qualification in Machining Operation (JPK Program Code: H-013-2, MC-032-2, MC-050-2:2012)

FURTHER ADVANCEMENT
Graduates with JPK SKM Level 3 (MC-050-3:2012) qualification are eligible to further their studies in the Precision Machining Technology Level 4 (DKM Level 4) Program. Graduates are also able to start their career as a CNC Machinist, Technician, or Programmer.
